Conclusion
How does America learn from past lessons in History? What national conditions bring about similar historical events? How does the economic success or failure change the lives of American systems and individuals?
America has learned some and still has yet to learn. During the Great Depression America took a while and was not to successful when trying to stop it. The government and economy was in very poor conditions and was not to stable. With the stock market crash, the trouble with the banks, consumer prices along with farming it was an overall deficit. Something that America probably never thought would happen and hope that woud never happen again. Luckily after the Great Depression slowly the economy started to build and America got more successful in so many different ways. We were doing pretty well, always in debt but still well to our standards until 2008. This is when the Great Recession started. This great Recession lasted way shorter, hopefully even though to contrary belief because the government knew how to take action sooner and really learned from what happened in the 1930's. Just like the Great Depression there was unemployment, banks problems, consumer price drop and more. Luckily there was the government to be there and other banks to be more secure then before to help. Although the government still had trouble they were able to create something like the New Deal with policies to get the Americans out of something they never wanted to be. America has learned from its previous mistakes, but has not fully understood and developed how to fix it all.
With the Great Depression and Great Recession being similar to each other makes everyone believe that we have learned from all the mistakes and downfalls from the Great Depression. This is why when the Great Recession started everyone though back to the Great Depression to see what they did, learn from there mistakes, take advice of what worked well, and really start putting the 'Great' infront. The Great Depression lasted for years, and the Great Recession only lasted about 3 years maximum. Although it did damage, not as much as the Great Depression and it does not really have a use of the word Great, due to it being compared the Great Depression.
There has been so many economic success and failures that it could change one American family or 3,000 American families. It can change individuals everyday with out the whole world knowing. There are, no matter what so many economic downfalls that effect people all the time, but since it does not effect everyone it is not known. In the big picture, it effects everyone. With things like the Great Depression and the Great Recession, it effects African-Americans, Caucasians, Hispanic, Asian, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Rich, and poor and so much more. It could happen to effect them in different ways but still have the possibility of changing their lives. The rich and poor effect each other because of buying one another items and race and religion always interlock some how. No matter what it has changed peoples lives, but they adjust. They can't go back intime to fix things so they deal with what is infront of them. Along with take what is offered.
